A VBAC is a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section. In a VBAC, mom had a cesarean section delivery and then in a later pregnancy she wants to try and deliver vaginally. The greatest risk in a VBAC is that the original cesarean section scar ruptures or tears during the later delivery. A VBAC can be done safely, but it is important that the nurses and doctors be very vigilant.
